Neuropharmacology and Neurochemistry

The study of how drugs affect cellular function in the nervous system, and the neural mechanisms through which they impact behavior is called as Neuropharmacology. There are two main branches of neuropharmacology i.e., behavioral and molecular. Behavioral neuropharmacology focuses on the study of how drugs affect human behavior, Molecular neuropharmacology involves the study of neurons and their neurochemical relations.

Neurochemistry is the study of chemicals, including neurotransmitters and other molecules similar as psychopharmaceuticals and neuropeptides, that control and affect the physiology of the nervous system.
